Placements24 is seeking a Senior Research Scientist in Nanotechnology to join our remote R&D team. You will conceptualize, design, and execute projects focused on synthesis, characterization, and application of nanomaterials, collaborating with a global group of scientists.

The ideal candidate has a PhD and 7+ years of nanotechnology experience, with expertise in advanced microscopy and spectroscopy, and a proven track record of independent, high-impact research, publications, and IP development.

Qualifications

• PhD in Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years post-doctoral or industrial research in nanotechnology.
• Expert in nanomaterial synthesis, characterization, and processing.
• Hands-on experience with advanced microscopy and spectroscopy.
• Strong communication and remote-work capability.

Responsabilités

• Lead R&D of novel nanomaterials and nanostructures.
• Design and perform synthesis, fabrication, and functionalization experiments.
• Characterize materials with TEM, SEM, AFM, XRD, XPS, Raman.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate into devices.
• Publish findings and contribute to patents.
• Mentor junior researchers in a remote team.
