Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Research Scientist to join a cutting-edge R&D team. This fully remote role focuses on discovering and developing novel therapeutic agents, with leadership of projects from concept to early development.

The ideal candidate has a PhD in a related field, at least 7 years post-doctoral experience, and a proven record in drug discovery and scientific publications. Strong communication skills and independent, collaborative work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years post-doctoral research experience in pharma/biotech.
• Proven track record of drug discovery projects and publications.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and interpret complex experiments to identify drug targets.
• Develop and optimize novel drug discovery methodologies and assays.
• Manage research projects from conception to early-stage development.
• Analyze and present findings to internal teams and external collaborators.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists.
• Maintain comprehensive research records supporting patents and publications.
