Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join their fully remote creative team. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality motion graphics for a variety of projects, including marketing campaigns, explainer videos, social media content, and internal communications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong artistic sensibility, exceptional technical skills in animation and visual effects, and a proven ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visual narratives. You will play a key role in enhancing our client's visual storytelling capabilities across all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and animate dynamic motion graphics, title sequences, character animations, and visual effects.
• Collaborate remotely with directors, editors, and marketing teams to understand project goals and develop creative visual concepts.
• Create storyboards and animatics to effectively communicate motion graphics ideas and sequences.
• Ensure all motion graphics assets are optimized for various platforms, including web, social media, and broadcast.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work consistently.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in motion graphics, 3D animation, and visual effects.
• Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers when needed.
• Maintain organized project files and assets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Motion Graphics Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in animation, visual effects, and graphic design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and visual storytelling.
• Excellent aesthetic judgment and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback digitally.
• A Bachelor's degree in Design, Animation, Film, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
