Placements24 is seeking a remote Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join a fully remote team across South Africa. You will design and animate motion graphics for marketing campaigns, explainer videos, social content, and internal comms.

Ideal candidate has strong animation and VFX skills, can collaborate with directors and editors, create storyboards, and mentor junior designers while delivering high-quality work on tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate dynamic motion graphics, title sequences, character animations, and visual effects.
• Collaborate remotely with directors, editors and marketing to understand project goals and develop creative visual concepts.
• Create storyboards and animatics to effectively communicate motion graphics ideas and sequences.
• Ensure all motion graphics assets are optimized for various platforms, including web, social media, and broadcast.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work consistently.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in motion graphics, 3D animation, and visual effects.
• Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers when needed.
• Maintain organized project files and assets.

About the Role Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join their fully remote creative team. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality motion graphics for a variety of projects, including marketing campaigns, explainer videos, social media content, and internal communications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong artistic sensibility, exceptional technical skills in animation and visual effects, and a proven ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visual narratives. You will play a key role in enhancing our client's visual storytelling capabilities across all digital platforms.
