Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison to operate as a remote specialist based out of Durban, South Africa. You will engage KOLs and HCPs across therapeutic areas, presenting data and supporting clinical research while operating from a home-based setup.

The role requires 5+ years as an MSL or in medical affairs, with strong scientific acumen, presentation skills, and CRM proficiency. Travel across the region is expected as needed for face-to-face interactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as Medical Science Liaison or in a related field.
• Advanced degree in life sciences.
• Experience engaging with KOLs and HCPs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to engage KOLs and HCPs.
• Deliver scientific and clinical information in a balanced, accurate manner.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with KOLs as a trusted resource.
• Provide scientific support for clinical trials including IIS.
• Relay insights on treatment landscapes and competitive intelligence to internal teams.
• Present data at medical congresses and symposia.
• Respond to medical information requests promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate with medical, marketing, and R&D teams.
