About the Role

Our client, a pioneering biopharmaceutical company, is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their fully remote team. This critical role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) across various therapeutic areas. As a remote MSL based out of **Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA**, you will be the scientific and clinical expert representing our client's innovative products and research initiatives. You will play a key role in gathering market insights, supporting clinical research, and disseminating vital scientific information. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to effectively engage with KOLs and HCPs within assigned geographical regions.
• Deliver scientific and clinical information on our client's products in a fair, balanced, and scientifically accurate manner.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with KOLs, serving as a trusted scientific resource.
• Provide scientific support for clinical trials, including investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and internal research protocols.
• Gather and relay critical insights on treatment landscapes, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence to internal teams.
• Present scientific data at medical congresses, symposia, and other relevant forums.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate closely with internal medical, marketing, and research & development teams to align scientific strategies.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., DVM) or equivalent in a relevant life science or clinical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a related field (e.g., clinical development, medical affairs).
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of our client's key therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, cardiology, immunology).
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and HCPs.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong scientific acumen and the ability to critically evaluate complex medical and scientific data.
• Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems and other remote work tools.
• Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a remote setup.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory as needed for face-to-face interactions, while primarily working remotely from **Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA**.
