Job summary

Placements24 client seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead conceptualization and detailed design of complex mechanical systems, using advanced CAD and simulations (FEA/CFD), while collaborating with cross-functional teams virtually.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years' experience, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, and a deep knowledge of DFM and materials. You will mentor junior engineers and drive projects to production with significant autonomy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical design experience.
• Expert in 3D CAD modeling and advanced simulation (FEA/CFD).
• DFM and material selection knowledge.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization and detailed design using advanced CAD.
• Perform FEA and CFD analyses for performance and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual setting.
• Develop design docs, specs, drawings, and BOMs.
• Oversee prototyping and testing; mentor junior engineers.
