Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Mechanical Engineer specializing in Simulation and Analysis to join a distributed engineering team. This role focuses on leveraging computational tools to predict and optimize performance of new designs before prototyping, working remotely with global R&D teams.

You'll perform advanced FEA and CFD, develop and validate models, and communicate insights to drive design decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on simulation.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical simulation and analysis.
• Expertise in FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus) and CFD software (Fluent, Star-CCM+).
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and material behavior.
• Proven ability to interpret complex results and communicate insights remotely.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced FEA and CFD simulations on mechanical components and systems.
• Develop and validate simulation models with physical test data.
• Analyze results to provide design improvement recommendations to R&D teams.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers through virtual channels.
• Develop and maintain simulation workflows, best practices, and documentation.
• Stay current with advancements in simulation software and methodologies.
