Placements24 is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. You will provide essential financial information to support efficiency and strategic decisions, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and performance management from your home office.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting/finance and a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/CA(SA) preferred), plus at least four years in management accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CA(SA)) preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years in management accounting or similar role.
• Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Experience with data analysis tools and financial modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality output.
• Reliable internet and home office environment mandatory.
• Experience in logistics or supply chain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast with insightful commentary.
• Assist in annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
• Manage cost accounting, including cost analysis and controls.
• Develop financial models for forecasting and scenario planning.
• Prepare variance reports and identify key drivers of deviations.
• Contribute to process improvements in finance and reporting quality.
• Support internal and external audits with necessary information.
• Monitor KPIs and report to management regularly.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
