Placements24 is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Litigation Attorney to join a premier international law firm’s fully remote team. You will manage the full litigation lifecycle for a diverse, international client base, from pre-trial strategy to post-trial appeals, in a remote-first, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of dedicated litigation experience, strong cross-border and arbitration exposure, and exceptional advocacy, drafting, and research skills.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with at least 8 years of dedicated litigation experience.
• Experience in complex commercial litigation, cross-border disputes, and international arbitration is highly preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral advocacy, with strong legal drafting abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including strategy, pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and factual investigations to support arguments.
• Represent clients in arbitrations, mediations, trials, and hearings, virtually or in person as required.
• Draft and argue complex motions before various courts and tribunals.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff working remotely.
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, or equivalent qualification in a recognized jurisdiction, with a minimum of 8 years of dedicated litigation experience.
• Substantial experience in handling complex commercial litigation, cross-border disputes, and international arbitration is highly preferred.
• Proven success in taking cases to trial and achieving favorable outcomes.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding written and oral advocacy skills, with a strong command of legal drafting.
• Proficiency in utilizing legal research databases, e-discovery platforms, and secure remote collaboration tools.
