Placements24 is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its entirely remote team in South Africa. You will manage complex civil and commercial matters from inception through resolution, conducting research, drafting pleadings, and representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

A high level of autonomy, integrity, and client management is essential for success. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive litigation experience, an LLB, and SA High Court

Qualifications

• LLB degree from a recognized institution.
• Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in civil and commercial litigation.
• Proven track record of managing complex litigation from start to finish.
• Extensive experience with court appearances, trials, and ADR.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex civil and commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and court documents.
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Develop case strategies and provide expert legal advice to clients.
• Conduct witness examinations and cross-examinations.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and interrogatories.
