Placements24 seeks a Senior Information Security Officer to lead and evolve the organization’s security program in a fully remote capacity. The role emphasizes strategic development, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of information security experience with senior/lead responsibilities.
• Proven expertise in security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of network, application, cloud security and data privacy; governance, compliance and audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-wide information security strategies and policies.
• Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability management and compliance initiatives.
• Lead incident response including investigation, containment, and eradication of threats.
• Manage SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection technologies.
• Provide guidance on security best practices to IT and business units.
• Conduct regular security audits and ensure adherence to standards.
