Kontak is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate for a remote-from-South-Africa role with a Dutch-headquartered international client in legal, finance and global payroll services. You’ll manage complex international books, close monthly and quarterly books, and handle VAT, ESL and CBS filings, while supporting Controllers and mentoring juniors.

The position offers an initial 12-month contract with potential to continue indefinitely, exposure to cross-border accounting, and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountancy.
• SAIPA accreditation required.
• At least 3 years in a mid-sized accounting firm.
• Experience handling multiple client portfolios and statutory filings.
• Strong English written and verbal skills.
• Proficiency with Exact Online, NetSuite or QuickBooks and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Maintain accurate client books and records for international clients.
• Close month-end and quarter-end processes.
• Prepare financial reports and statutory VAT filings.
• Draft annual statutory financial statements for filing with authorities.
• Support Financial Controllers and guide Accounting Assistants.
• Communicate with foreign and domestic clients and third parties.
