Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced and self-directed Remote Senior Accountant to lead key financial functions from anywhere in South Africa. This role emphasizes autonomy in a fully remote setup and requires strong accounting expertise, strategic thinking, and clear communication with stakeholders.

You will oversee the general ledger, GAAP reporting, and month-end close, while implementing internal controls and guiding junior staff remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, incl. 2+ years in a senior role.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote work.
