Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a fully remote team delivering projects across South Africa. The role focuses on expert analysis and design recommendations using PLAXIS 3D and GeoStudio, with projects managed remotely.

You will work autonomously, prepare detailed reports, review data, and collaborate via virtual channels. A Master's degree, ECSA registration, and 10+ years of geotechnical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr.Eng. or PTO.
• Minimum 10 years of specialized geotechnical engineering experience.
• Expertise with geotechnical software PLAXIS 3D and GeoStudio.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced geotechnical analyses and design foundation systems remotely.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports from client data and remote analysis.
• Provide expert technical advice on soil stability, slope engineering, and ground improvement remotely.
• Review geotechnical data and methodologies used by project teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients via virtual channels.
• Stay updated on geotechnical advancements and remote analysis techniques.
