Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Geoscientist to join our remote-capacity team supporting exploration and production activities near Port Elizabeth. You will integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to build subsurface models and help shape exploration strategies in the Oil & Gas sector.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Geology/Geophysics with 7+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in Petrel and GeoGraphix, and strong sedimentology, stratigraphy, and

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology or Geophysics.
• 7+ years' experience in oil and gas exploration or production geology.
• Proficient in Petrel and GeoGraphix, and seismic interpretation tools.
• Strong skills in sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and basin analysis.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and interpret geological and geophysical data to define subsurface structures.
• Develop 3D geological models to delineate reservoirs.
• Assess exploration prospects including risk and uncertainty.
• Collaborate with petroleum engineers and geophysicists on field development.
• Use geological software and visualization tools for analysis.
• Prepare geological reports and present findings to teams.
