Placements24 seeks an experienced Geologist to support exploration and development initiatives in Centurion. You will interpret geological data, identify hydrocarbon prospects, and contribute to subsurface models for field development.

Collaboration with engineers and geoscientists will guide exploration strategies and prospectivity assessments. The role requires a master's degree in Geology and at least 6 years in oil and gas geology, with proficiency in modeling software such as Petrel and

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or related geoscience field.
• At least 6 years of relevant oil and gas exploration or development geology experience.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, DecisionSpace).
• Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.

Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic, well log, and core data to identify hydrocarbon prospects.
• Develop and maintain subsurface geological models using advanced software.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to define field development plans and optimize production.
• Conduct geological risk assessments and uncertainty analysis for exploration projects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of geological technologies and methodologies in the industry.
