Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geophysicist to join a globally distributed, remote-first exploration team focused on seismic interpretation to evaluate hydrocarbon potential.

You will define exploration strategies, integrate multidisciplinary data, and mentor junior geoscientists while working across basins and project teams. The ideal candidate has a PhD or MSc in Geophysics with 8+ years in seismic interpretation and proficiency with Petrel, HampsonRussell, and GeoDepth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics or related Earth Science.
• 8+ years in geophysical exploration with seismic interpretation focus.
• Proficient with seismic interpretation software and datasets.
• Experience in basin analysis and prospect evaluation.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic data to identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Integrate seismic data with wells, cores and geology into subsurface models.
• Use advanced seismic software for processing and interpretation.
• Assess geological risks and uncertainties.
• Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and management on strategies.
• Mentor junior geophysicists and geoscientists.
