Placements24 is seeking an innovative Geophysicist to join a fully remote exploration team. You will interpret seismic and geophysical data to identify subsurface structures with hydrocarbon potential and generate high-quality subsurface models to support exploration decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's or PhD in Geophysics or related field with 7+ years of seismic interpretation experience, and proficiency in Petrel, Hampson-Russell, and OpendTect.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Geophysics, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of seismic interpretation experience.
• Proficiency with industry-standard geophysical interpretation software (Petrel, Hampson-Russell, OpendTect).
• Strong understanding of seismic data acquisition, processing, and migration techniques.
• Experience in prospect evaluation and risking.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, ideally with remote collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to map geological structures and identify potential reservoirs.
• Integrate geophysical datasets (gravity, magnetic) with seismic and well data.
• Develop and refine subsurface models for exploration and appraisal.
• Perform AV0 analysis and other attribute studies.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to characterize prospects and manage risks.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for exploration and management teams.

Key Responsibilities
