Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a distributed team and drive financial planning, forecasting and analysis from anywhere in South Africa. The role emphasizes delivering timely reports and strategic insights in a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in financial analysis or corporate finance, a strong command of financial modeling, GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and experience with SAP or Oracle. A Masters or CFA/CA(SA) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CA(SA)) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP/Oracle is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of financial statements, GAAP/IFRS, and budgeting processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions to management.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy across all reporting.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis projects and business case development as needed.
• Continuously improve financial processes and reporting tools for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
