Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong focus on power systems.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical power distribution engineering.
• Proficiency in ETAP, PowerFactory, and DIgSILENT for distribution studies.
• Knowledge of distribution components, protection schemes, and industry standards (SA regulations).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of electrical distribution systems, including substations, overhead lines, and underground networks.
• Perform detailed power system studies, such as load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination analysis for distribution networks.
• Develop technical specifications for distribution equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protective relays.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to power quality and system reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on distribution system design and operations.
