Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Senior E-commerce Merchandising Manager for a fully remote role serving customers nationwide in South Africa. You will drive online sales and profitability by optimizing product presentation, pricing, and promotions across the e-commerce platform.

You will leverage analytics to understand customer behavior, identify product trends, and enhance the online shopping experience. The role requires 6+ years in e-commerce merchandising or related online retail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in e-commerce merchandising or related online retail role.
• Proven experience in managing online product catalogs and driving online sales growth.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in e-commerce analytics tools.
• Excellent understanding of online retail best practices, CRO, and UX.
• Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision making.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the e-commerce merchandising strategy to maximize online sales and profitability.
• Oversee product catalog management with accurate descriptions, images and specs.
• Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Plan and execute online promotions, discounts, and marketing campaigns.
• Optimize product categorization, navigation, and search functionality.
• Collaborate with buying, marketing, and web development teams.
• Monitor competitor e-commerce strategies and best practices.
• Manage product assortment planning and inventory levels with merchandising and supply chain teams.
• Utilize A/B testing and data-driven methods to optimize the shopping experience.
