Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative Remote Design Engineer to join our special projects team. You will conceptualize, design, and develop novel mechanical solutions, leading bespoke systems from concept through prototype in a fully remote role.

With 7+ years in mechanical design and a master’s degree, you will use Fusion 360 or SolidWorks and simulation tools, collaborate across a distributed team, oversee fabrication and testing, and help push the boundaries of engineering with innovative

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
7+ years of mechanical design experience with emphasis on R&D or special projects.
Proficiency in CAD modeling (Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of bespoke mechanical systems and prototypes for special projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering analysis.
Create CAD models, simulations, and technical documentation for innovative solutions.
Collaborate with a remote team of engineers, researchers, and project managers to define project scope and requirements.
Oversee fabrication and testing of prototypes, iterating designs based on results.
Research and evaluate new technologies and materials to incorporate into designs.
