Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join its analytics team, working entirely remotely. You will develop and deploy predictive models for exploration, production forecasting, and equipment maintenance across global mining operations.

Require Master's or PhD, 8+ years of experience in ML and statistics, proficiency in Python or R, and experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, plus cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist with strong ML focus.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data manipulation libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy predictive models for resource exploration, production forecasting, and equipment maintenance.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and optimization opportunities in mining processes.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and operations managers to translate business problems into data science solutions.
• Design and implement A/B tests and experiments to validate model performance and business impact.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
