Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, with a significant portion focused on mining or natural resources sector.
• Proficiency in Python or R and experience with Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow.
• Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL and big data platforms.
• Expertise in machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms for mining applications (predictive maintenance, production forecasting, resource estimation).
• Analyze large, complex datasets from various sources (sensor data, geological logs, operational reports) to identify trends and opportunities.
• Build and deploy data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, safety, and profitability.
• Collaborate remotely with geologists, engineers, and operational managers to translate business needs into data science problems.
