Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a remote role supporting mining operations worldwide. You will build and maintain data models, create insightful reports and dashboards, and provide analytical support to operations, exploration, and finance teams.

You should have 5+ years in data analysis or BI, strong SQL and Python or R skills, and expertise in Tableau or Power BI. This remote-first position offers flexibility and global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably in mining/resources.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning concepts, and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from mining operations.
• Develop and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Perform statistical analysis and build predictive models to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs and deliver insights.
• Automate data processes and reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Document data processes, methodologies, and findings clearly and concisely.
