Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead remote construction initiatives across sectors. You will plan, execute, and deliver complex projects from a home office, ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and top quality.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with Asana, Trello, Procore, and BIM platforms. Strong leadership and remote communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering large-scale construction projects.
• Proficient with digital collaboration tools (Asana, Trello, Procore, BIM platforms).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, planning, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership and remote-team management skills.
• Autonomy, organization, and time-management in a home office setup.
• Familiarity with South African building regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initiation to closure, remotely.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using digital tools.
• Manage remote project teams including site supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and codes.
• Conduct virtual site inspections and progress reviews using monitoring tech.
• Manage contracts, permits, and reports in digital format.
• Lead remote project meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Control scope, changes, and resource allocation effectively.
• Drive adoption of new technologies for remote oversight.
• Report status, risks, and financial performance to senior management.
• Foster strong relationships via digital communication channels.
