Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a fully remote team. The role focuses on infrastructure planning, policy development, and strategic project oversight, advising clients and government bodies on infrastructure strategies.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, strong policy understanding, and a track record of independent, proactive work in a globally connected environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field; a PhD is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience with infrastructure planning, policy, and strategy.
• Experience in evaluating infrastructure projects of national or regional significance.
• Ability to conduct complex policy analysis and prepare persuasive reports.
• Excellent virtual communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and collaboration platforms for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze long-term infrastructure plans for public and private sector clients.
• Conduct policy research and impact assessments related to infrastructure and sustainability.
• Provide expert technical advice on feasibility, design standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate virtual stakeholder consultations and workshops to gather input and build consensus.
• Prepare high-level reports, policy briefs, and strategic recommendations for senior management and government officials.
• Oversee technical aspects of diverse infrastructure projects and ensure alignment with goals and best practices.
• Mentor junior remote team members and share knowledge across the organization.
• Stay current with global trends in civil engineering, urban planning, and sustainable infrastructure.
