Qualifications

• Bachelor or master degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE/chartered registration desirable.
• 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience focusing on infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of South African construction materials, methods and regulations.
• Experience managing complex projects from concept to completion.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent remote communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and project management of diverse civil infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, site development).
• Develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies with technical recommendations.
• Ensure designs comply with local, regional, and national regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors and clients in a virtual environment.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and resource allocation for timely delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, submittals and construction documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations.
• Foster client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
