Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a rapidly expanding global technology firm in finding a Remote Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power our cloud platform, collaborating with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.

Candidates should have 6+ years in backend development with Python/Java/Go, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional backend software development.
• Expertise in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable backend services and microservices.
• Build and optimize APIs to support frontend apps and integrations.
• Work with AWS/Azure/GCP to deploy, manage, and scale applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Write clean, well-documented code and maintain robust testing strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
