Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Developer with a backend focus to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems. This fully remote role offers opportunity to own features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence architectural decisions while working from home.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in CS or related field, 6+ years of backend experience, expertise in Python/Java/Go/Node.js, and strong REST/microservices, databases, cloud, and containerization skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Expertise in at least one modern backend language (Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Strong understanding of RESTful design principles and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Write clean, well-documented code in supported languages.
• Collaborate with frontend teams, PMs, and designers to deliver features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and roadmaps.
• Implement and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for quality.
