Placements24 is assisting a rapidly expanding global technology firm in finding a Remote Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power our cloud platform, collaborating with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.

Candidates should have 6+ years in backend development with Python/Java/Go, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional backend software development.
• Expertise in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services using Python/Java/Go and associated frameworks.
• Build and optimize APIs and microservices that support our frontend applications and external integrations.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy, manage, and scale applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to define feature requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Implement and maintain robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across different environments.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic technology decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proven expertise in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Strong experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), including design and optimization.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including CI/CD, testing, and version control (Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
