Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with aerospace expertise to lead the design of critical aerospace components. The role is fully remote with a globally distributed team, focusing on advanced CAD/CAE modeling, validation, and optimization.

The candidate will perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses and develop comprehensive design documentation, drawings, specs, and test plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years of aerospace mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in CATIA or ANSYS for modeling and analysis.
• Experience with aerospace materials, manufacturing processes and DFM.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Strong communication in a virtual, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of aerospace components from concept to production.
• Use CAD/CAE tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses on aerospace hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional remote teams.
