Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a fully remote finance team in South Africa. The role oversees month-end and year-end closes, IFRS reporting, and intercompany reconciliations while collaborating across time zones.

You will work with cloud-based systems (Xero, Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. A CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA is desirable, with 5+ years in accounting and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA(SA), ACCA or CIMA is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in tech or e-commerce.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and SA accounting regulations.
• Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (Xero, Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with virtual collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Teams).
• High accuracy and attention to detail; self-disciplined and proactive.

Responsibilities
