Placements24 is seeking a proactive Financial Accountant to join their remote finance team. You will handle a broad range of accounting duties, including financial statements, general ledger management, and supporting financial analysis from a home office.

This role supports a global team and leverages cloud-based tools for efficiency. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of financial accounting experience, IFRS knowledge, SA tax familiarity, and strong Excel along with Xero or QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and general ledger reconciliations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA , CA(SA) ) is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a similar role.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online) and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of IFRS and South African tax laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a remote team environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines independently.
