Job summary

Placements24 client seeks a skilled Remote Dispatcher and Route Planner to join a technology-driven logistics team. Based remotely in South Africa, you will orchestrate dispatch, optimize routes, and coordinate with drivers and clients to ensure timely deliveries.

You will leverage advanced software to monitor real-time progress, resolve on-road issues, and maintain accurate logs while working independently from a home office.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatching or route planning.
• Proficiency with route optimization software and GPS tracking.
• Strong communication and problem-solving under pressure.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily delivery routes using specialized software, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal travel time.
• Monitor the real-time location and progress of delivery vehicles and drivers.
• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and resolve on-road issues promptly.
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and provide status updates.
• Maintain logs of dispatched orders, deliveries completed, and exceptions.
• Collaborate with logistics team to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
