Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Renewable Energy Analyst for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will evaluate the feasibility and financial viability of solar, wind, and hydro projects, perform in-depth market research, analyze policies, and build financial models to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis on renewable energy technologies, trends, and policy landscapes.
• Develop detailed financial models to assess the economic feasibility of renewable energy projects, including DCF analysis and sensitivity testing.
• Evaluate project risks and identify mitigation strategies related to regulatory, financial, and technical aspects.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and investment recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze energy market data, including generation, demand, and pricing trends.
• Collaborate remotely with internal teams and external partners to gather data and validate assumptions for project assessments.
