Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems or Renewables.
• 3-5 years of experience in design and engineering of renewable energy systems.
• Familiarity with solar PV and/or wind turbine technologies; knowledge of BESS and grid integration.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and simulation tools.
• Understanding of South African electrical grid codes and connection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind turbines, and BESS.
• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control system architectures.
• Perform power system studies, including grid connection analysis and protection coordination.
• Specify electrical components, inverters, transformers, and associated equipment.
• Oversee the electrical aspects of project construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, grid codes, and safety regulations.
