Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 6–8 years of progressive Real estate project management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and contract administration.
• Proficient in MS Project or Primavera and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in Centurion or Gauteng property market desirable.
• Budgeting and financial management for large-scale projects.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Real Estate Project Manager to oversee a variety of development projects in and around Centurion, Gauteng . This on-site role requires a proactive individual capable of managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and feasibility studies through to construction, completion, and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes and real estate development, and the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to impactful developments within the dynamic Centurion landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for real estate developments.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.
• Manage construction activities, monitor progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement timely solutions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plan and specifications.
• Control project budgets, track expenditures, and manage change orders to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Liaise with clients, investors, and other stakeholders, providing regular project updates and reports.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors to secure favorable terms.
• Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Facilitate the handover of completed projects and address any post-completion issues.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in real estate project management, with a strong emphasis on development projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently from inception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, zoning regulations, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and standard office applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Experience working within the Centurion or wider Gauteng property market is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial management and budget control for large-scale projects.
