Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Logistics Coordinator in Cape Town to manage end-to-end shipping operations for international and domestic freight. You will coordinate shipments, prepare documents, liaise with carriers and clients, and monitor performance to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.

The role requires solid knowledge of shipping procedures and customs, strong organization, and proficiency with logistics software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar in freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures and customs processes.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage end-to-end international and domestic shipments (air, sea, road).
• Prepare and process documents such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, and customs brokers for timely clearance and delivery.
• Track shipments, provide clients with updates, and address delays or issues.
• Maintain records of shipments, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to optimize routes and costs while maintaining service quality.
