Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Purchasing Officer to join the fully remote procurement team. The role focuses on processing requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and supplier liaison to keep the supply chain efficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in purchasing or procurement.
• Experience managing purchase orders and interacting with suppliers.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote work.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with procurement software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with e-commerce operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate accurate purchase orders.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and track deliveries.
• Maintain supplier data, pricing, and contract terms.
• Monitor order fulfilment and resolve delivery issues.
• Assist in sourcing new suppliers and competitive bids.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and ethics.
• Track expenditures and support budget management.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes remotely.
