Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit or health sector.
• Demonstrated experience in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in using various content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong understanding of public health issues and trends is a significant advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Health, or a related field.
• Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative communication approaches.
• Experience with graphic design tools or video editing software is a plus.
• A commitment to improving public health outcomes through effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to support organizational goals and campaigns.
• Create engaging and informative content for various platforms, including website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
• Manage and grow the organization's social media presence across key channels.
• Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of communication materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in tone and brand voice.
• Collaborate with program staff to translate complex health information into accessible and understandable content.
• Monitor media coverage and online conversations related to public health and the organization's work.
• Assist in organizing virtual events, webinars, and public awareness campaigns.
• Maintain and update website content to ensure it is current and engaging.
• Analyze communication campaign performance and provide regular reports on engagement metrics.
• Support the development of relationships with media outlets and key influencers.
