The role requires at least 4 years of communications experience, a relevant degree, excellent writing and editing skills, and proficiency with CMS and email marketing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in communications, public relations, or digital marketing, preferably in the non-profit or advocacy sector.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven experience in developing and executing social media strategies.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
• Strong understanding of digital communication tools and analytics.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects remotely.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
• Passion for human rights and social justice issues.
• A robust home office setup and reliable high-speed internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative communication strategies to enhance brand visibility and mission engagement.
• Create engaging and persuasive content for websites, social media, email newsletters, press releases, and other digital channels.
• Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence across multiple platforms.
• Write and edit compelling stories, articles, and reports highlighting program impact and successes.
• Collaborate with program teams to gather information and translate complex issues into accessible communication.
• Monitor media coverage and analyze communication effectiveness, providing insights for improvement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts and influencers.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaign collateral.
• Ensure brand consistency and messaging across all communication outputs.
• Stay current with communication trends and best practices in the non-profit sector.
