Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Communications Executive for a fully remote role serving a South African non-profit. You will develop and execute communication strategies to amplify the organization’s mission, engage stakeholders, and raise awareness across digital channels.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in communications, PR, or digital marketing, with excellent writing and content creation skills, and a passion for social causes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in communications, public relations, or digital marketing.
• Proven ability to create engaging written and visual content.
• Experience managing social media platforms and growing online communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• A passion for social causes and non-profit work is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to support organizational goals.
• Create content for website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
• Manage and grow the organization's social media presence and online community.
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and stakeholders.
• Monitor media coverage and online conversations related to the organization's work.
• Assist in organizing events and public awareness campaigns.
• Ensure brand consistency across all communication materials.
• Support fundraising and advocacy efforts through effective communication.
• Prepare reports on communication activities and their impact.
