About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking technology solutions provider, is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for various innovative projects. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be instrumental in guiding software development teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software products that meet client requirements and exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities

Manage the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for assigned projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Lead and mentor cross-functional software development teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, task breakdown, timelines, and resource allocation. Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and impediments. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members and with clients/stakeholders. Track project progress, manage backlog, and ensure timely delivery of features and releases. Promote best practices in software development and project management within the remote team environment.

Requirements

A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on software development projects. Proven experience managing projects throughout the entire SDLC, utilizing Agile methodologies. Excellent understanding of software development principles, practices, and technologies. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, specifically within a remote team context. Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, and Slack. Experience in managing distributed teams and fostering a positive remote work culture. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Must be able to work independently and be highly self-motivated in a remote setting.
