Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead SaaS implementation projects in a fully remote capacity within South Africa. You will define scope, schedules, and resources, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while managing client expectations and cross-functional teams.

You will coordinate with sales, engineering, product, and support to drive project success, mitigate risks, and support change management initiatives for user adoption.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management experience in SaaS or software implementation.
• Proven ability to lead complex client implementation projects.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, agile, and cloud-based solutions.
• Excellent remote communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Jira, Asana, Trello or similar PM tools.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying client needs.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business or related field.
• CRM/ERP familiarity is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing projects for the implementation and integration of our SaaS products.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Manage project execution, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of all milestones.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the implementation process.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, product, and customer support, to ensure project success.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate smooth user adoption through effective training, change management, and ongoing support coordination.
• Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and provide regular status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in SaaS implementation and project management methodologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our implementation processes and client onboarding experience.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, specifically within SaaS or software implementation environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex client implementation projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and cloud-based solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or similar.
• Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects with varying client needs.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, demonstrating excellent time management.
