Placements24 is seeking an innovative Product Development Engineer to join their team in a fully remote arrangement. You will spearhead the conception, design, and launch of new mechanical products, collaborating with marketing, sales, and manufacturing to ensure market success in the Free State region.

The role requires a strong technical background, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and CAD proficiency with SolidWorks or Fusion 360.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in product development and mechanical design.
• Proven track record of launching new products.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization and design of new mechanical products, from sketches to specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market research, and competitive analysis.
