Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing activities for operations around Richards Bay. This fully remote role requires a self-motivated professional with strong organizational and communication skills to source, negotiate, and procure goods and services while collaborating with multiple internal teams.

You will oversee end-to-end procurement, vet suppliers, ensure policy compliance, and leverage procurement software to monitor orders and performance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or Buyer.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, market analysis, and negotiation techniques.
• Proficiency with procurement software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories, from requisition to order fulfillment.
• Identify and vet suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, maintain vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and budgets.
• Utilize procurement software to track orders and generate reports.
• Provide support to internal departments on procurement best practices.
