Job summary

Placements24 in a remote-first environment is seeking a motivated Buyer to join its procurement team. You will manage supplier relationships, process purchase orders, and contribute to cost-effective sourcing to support operations.

You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, track deliveries, maintain records, and collaborate with inventory and operations to forecast demand while complying with company policies. Strong Excel skills and independent workload management are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Buyer or similar purchasing role.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, supply chain, and negotiation.
• Proficiency with purchasing software and MS Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process for assigned commodities, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating terms to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Place purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve order or quality issues.
• Maintain procurement records including pricing, vendor info and contracts.
• Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to forecast demand and manage stock.
