Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Procurement Officer to support the Richards Bay region within a remote-first framework. You will manage end-to-end procurement, build strong supplier relationships, and ensure policy compliance from a home office, collaborating in a virtual team environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years in procurement, strong negotiation and contract management skills, and proven cost-saving delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
• 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience
• Proven negotiating and contract management abilities
• Strong analytical skills and experience with procurement tools
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills
• Track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes including requisitions, ordering and delivery tracking.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethics, and budgets.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings and KPIs.
